Majestic Wine, the UK’s largest specialist wine retailer needed to accommodate complex localisations of product availability online and also deliver a highly personalised and convenient customer experience that brings the in-store shopping experience to life on the web.

The Challenge

Majestic Wine needed to help design their user interface for their mobile website and engaged with profound through Javelin.

Optimising for the mobile web usually means having to account for slow loading pages because of network, less available screen real estate and a risk of content getting lost on the page, as always Profound were up to the challenge.

The Plan

The plan was to focus on designing the site to make relevant features accessible to customers shopping on their mobile devices. The design needed to leverage the new technology available on the Majestic Wine digital space, while keeping consistent with the trusted brand of Majestic Wine.
